• Santa Margherita Ligure don't offer Luxury Hotels in a real "sense of word". However most of them - who would need an restoration on different rooms and common areas - are front of the sea. So, you can enjoy amazing sunsets.
  
  In any case, there is a new property, (2011) called Santa Margherita Ligure Palace that is very stylish, in minimal design even if don't offers sea view. You can enjoy Turkish/Steam Bath, Sauna and massage and you are at walking distance from restaurants, shopping and aperitivo.
  
  For us this is the best Hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure.
  
  For budget Hotels we suggest La Locanda di Colombo, it's a small property - family managed - with a nice ambience. You are in centre of Santa Margherita with shopping, american bar, newspapers, sea at walkable distance. Another one family managed Hotel is the Fasce. It's a 2-Star hotel very nice, clean with good rates. You are in centre of city too.

• Restaurants & Aperitivo

• For nice atmosphere & music in Santa Margherita Ligure you need to go at Sabot, Miami and Master. All of these american bar are on the "Piazzetta" in Lungomare Rossetti. You can go there for pre or after dinner. The Sabot offers also the Happy Hour (not incredible) from 6pm. In this area you can find also some restaurants.
  
  They are not at gourmet level but the ambiance is nice.
  
  For romantic dinner you can go to Antonio in corso Matteotti where food is really tasty and in summer they have nice tables outside as well. Even La Stalla in Nozarego (small place over to Santa Margehrita Ligure). Amazing view and good food and wine list. A little expensive.
  
  If you are looking to eat fish, you can try Da U Batti, close to the fish market. Is not a very nice place as decor but fantastic for "scamponi" (shrimps). Worth a visit.

• What to know

• Santa Margherita Ligure, it can reached from the motorway exiting at Rapallo, alternatively there is the train station. The closest airport is Genova Cristoforo Colombo (GOA), Pisa, Nice and Milan. Genova is served by British Ariways,Lufthansa, Alitalia and Airfrance. Available low-cost airlines are Ryanair, MyAir and AirOne.
  
  In all these airports, we provide Transfer Service with Mercedes E/S Class and Mini Van Mercedes Viano and R Class (up to 7 seats) with driver on your exit gate, until your hotel or flat.
  
  In Santa Margherita Ligure there are fee parking spaces, sport fields, and some gyms. We suggest walking along the beach until Paraggi, especially around dusk. You will immediately feel better. We don't suggest Santa Margherita Ligure for singles and fan of night clubs. It's fine for young families, kids, couples and lovers up to 30 years old.
  
  If you are looking for a sparkling resort, we suggest the Versilia and Forte dei Marmi. You can reach these destination in less of one hour with our Limo service.

• What we love

• Enjoy this town in order to find your true self. You'll wake up late in the morning, read the newspaper, take a walk, swim, visit the port around 5 in the evening, to the fish market to see what's been fished, prepare yourself for dinner - usually women are not dressed elegantly - and rest.
  
  You may also want to jog a little during the late hours of the afternoon, from Santa Margherita Ligure until Paraggi Castle - about 4 km round trip - there is a pavement right next to the sea.
  
  You'll will feel well just by breathing the fresh air, fronting a fantastic coast view.
  
  There is also a dog-only beach in Santa Margherita Ligure. It is found up ahead the Regina Elena Hotel towards Portofino. There is fresh water available. All other beaches are not dogs free. See the map link below.
  
  If you want to relax, rest, walk or bike around, jog, if you need all this, you're in the right place. We do not suggest staying more than one night in Santa Margherita Ligure in the period that goes from October to April. If there weather is nice, there will usually be people during weekends.

• Warnings

• Avoid to go to the Regina Elena Hotel and Park Suisse Hotel. These properties are old. The room are very small, with old decor. The only thing is nice in Regina Elena is the rooftop pool. On Park Suisse...well, we have no idea on what could be accetable. Maybe the price.
  
  If you are a drinks fanatic, please be aware that there is not an American Bar in Santa Margherita Ligure managed by a real sommelier. So the Mojito, Caipirinha, Bellini, and many other dinks "are different" very often. The "Piazzetta" ambiance is nice to be in the middle of the crowd and not to try new cocktails. We suggest to drink a Corona.
