Villa Marina Capri

Partway between the hilltop Capri village and the marina, there lies an unassuming 19th-century villa that has been converted into an intimate little hotel. The Villa Marina Capri flows down the hillside, with each of the 21 rooms having an individual decorated style.

Situated on Marina Grande, the old road that leads from the port of Capri to the Piazzetta, Villa Marina Capri is a beautiful boutique hotel that sits among glorious gardens offering superb views of the Gulf of Naples and the Sorrentine Peninsula. The early 20th-century villa has 21spacious guest rooms and suites, each decorated with memorabilia by artists such as Marinetti, Neruda, Malaparte and Axel Munthe.

The rooms are conservative, but emphasize adult luxury over flashy gimmicks. The rooms offer a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius towering in the background. The Villa Marina’s Spa, ‘Stai’, offers state of the art facilities, and the restaurant, ‘Ziqù’, offers typical Mediterranean cuisine.

Considering the hillside walk, the Villa Marina Capri is located just close enough to the funicular. As the day trippers leave for the evening, the town becomes a veritable playground for the guests staying at the hotel.
