The Villa San Michele is made for relaxation: spend indulgent hours in the panoramic pool or expend some energy in the small gymnasium, while never losing sight of the beautiful vistas.

Panoramic Swimming Pool
Located on the third terrace, the panoramic heated swimming pool enjoys an incredible view across the Arno Valley and Florence. Reached by a winding gravel path, it is situated on a wide, grassy plateau above the gardens and is enhanced by cascading waters. Olive trees furnish swimmers and sunbathers with welcome shade against the full heat of the summer sun. Among the garden umbrellas, a pool snack bar serves tasty lunches and snacks.

Golf Ugolino
An 18-hole course immersed in the heart of Chianti, 8km south of Florence and about 30 minutes by car from the hotel. Clubhouse with restaurant. Green fees (per person) €70,00. Golf carts and clubs (but not shoes) may be rented at prices ranging from €30,00 to €50,00.

Italian Gardens
The extraordinary gardens at Villa San Michele are steeped in history, dating from the 15th century when they were nurtured by Franciscan monks. A large wooded park, immaculately tended terraced gardens and the scent of flowers and lemons all add up to the perfect geometric, Italian outdoor space. Spend time relaxing on our loungers, sipping cocktails and admiring the fragrant blooms, or take a tour with our gardeners to explore the secrets of this little corner of paradise.

For the adventurous, mountain bikes are available for trips to Fiesole or Florence, where cyclists will find excellent cycle lanes and pedestrianised areas (daily rentals from €50).
