The best, in the center, is Hotel Quisisana
well I would not exclude the Capri Palace but certainli Quisisana has a lot of charme
I have to agree Capri Palace is amazing, I am planning to go and the idea of having your own private swimming pool right outside your room is just a miracle (without having to pay through your teeth)

Capri Palace! The Spa is great- even if you decide not to stay there you should go and enjoy one of their treatments.
Don,t forget Scalinatella for me the best one. Small, charmant and fobolous view.
I have been both in Quisisana and Capri Palace, i would definitely go for the first one!
I’d also like to add the Punta Tragara…magnificent views, super service, Frank Lloyd Wright archtiecture – and quiet, quiet quiet. Better to have drinks at the Quisisana – but stay at the Punta Tragara. Try to get a suite!!

Quisisana, the best.
I would stay at the more discreet Scalinatella or Casa Morgano both owned by the Morgano family. The Quisisana is perfectly nice but a bit more impersonal. The Morgano family owns a number of restaurants and businesses on the island and they know everyone so if you ever need anything – a last minute table at a restaurant during high season, a private boat hire to tour the island etc the staff at their hotels could not be more helpful and resourceful.
Not sure what you are after, but if you have a Spa in mind then the Capri Palace. I was there two years ago for a special spa/detox week. It worked wonders. If you are after discreet, I am not sure if the palace is the place to be. It might depend on how much you want to spend on accommodation. I loved Capri.
You can´t leave Capri without going to dance to ANIMA E CUORE…. (very close to Quisisana Hotel), live italian music where people can dance in top of the tables… I had so much fun there…I went nearly every night!!

I’d cast a vote for Capri Palace… very relaxing, comforting, a kind of remote and romantic place. Good restaurant, great spa. Depends on what you are looking for.
full vote for quisisana – its simply an experience you MUST have in Capri.. sit out for coctails at sunset watching people pass by on the terrace toward the street .. Also do not miss visit to Anima e core bar/club.
Capri Palace is fantastic, but it’s in Anacapri, so every time you want to go to Capri to shop walk and dine, you have to take a taxi…whereas Quisisana is in Capri, it has a fantastic view on the sea, an own garden, a great terrace for the apero, right in the heart of the pedestrian/shops area of Capri…Enjoy!
Yap we will be surely there from friday 14th til 18th of april…very long w-end for us…we lucky cause we live in naples just in front of capri..35 minutes by fast ferry ;) i really can’t wait anymore…i need suuuuuuun :)) if u are thinkin to come in easter too don’t forget swimwear…sea-water still freezing…but sun is hoooot! this morning it’s sunny and 20 C° :) :p
No, no, no! quissianna and capri palace are not good. i promise. they’ve got all the stars, but none of the charm. i promise you. way too touristy. i would DEFINITELY pick the scalinatella. hands down. i agree with nick hobbs, def stay at scalinatella or casa morgano. and you MUST drink white peach sangrias as the sun sets at da luigi. ambrosial. biss. heaven. x

I have an house there and I go as much as I can !!! I think that La Scalinatella is the best if you want a romantic holiday or also mamela ..they both have a nice pool…then Punta Tragara is not Bad …amazing view!!! Capri palace is in Anacapri and u don t want to be there…Capri is where the action is!!!
Quisisana only for drinks in the terrace outside….you must to go to eat to Paolino, and la Cantinella the food is to die for… then, La Canzone del Mare and of course Luigi ai Faraglioni…Rent a GOZZO …to go around the island…Enjoy and see you there in july

Hi I go to Capri every year I know all those fancy hotels which are very nice , but there is one very nice call La Minerva its very small great price not a tourist trap like all the others look in the net for the number

Quisisana and the other bigs are for tourists… but lots of comforts for sure!! (spa… etc etc…!!!)
Experts (and many true napolitans!) goes to “Casa Morgano”… that’s def my suggestion…. been there few times, is a 5 star one but looks like a “luxury family home”…. fantastic!!!
