Portofino World, something to be proud.

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

A recent survey from Wealth Bulletin in cooperation with Super-Yacht Magazine has listed the top three spots in the ranking of ports Travel most expensive in the world. It’s not a surprise for PortofinoWorld.com that are occupied by three of our Italian places: Capri, Porto Cervo and Portofino.

In the fantastic Isle of Capri, the small bay and the exclusive services make the average daily rate for a boat over 24 feet up to 2,900 euros. Less, 2,500 euros per day, costs to be in one of the 60 exclusive seats in Porto Cervo, Emerald Coast, but the price goes up if you aspire to find accommodations in the super exclusive Yacht Club in Portofinoone of the eight wonders of the world – that offers only six places available to 2,350 euros per day.

isle of capri

Croatia… has a beautifull coastlĂne and is right next to Italy.

I would check out (from north to south) the Ligurian coast (Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure and Cinqueterre), Corsica, Elba, Monte Argentario, Sardinia and then down to the Amalfi Coast Positano, Capri, Liparian Islands (Panarea etc)… Lampedusa, Pantelleria…

Cruise down the Italian west coast basically. If you have to narrow down your choice… focus on Monte Argentario (Porto Ercole and then all the islands within reach from there – smaller islands, Elba, Corsica, Sardinia)

Eolie Islands lot of fun!!!! especially “Panarea” :)

Maybe Sardinia… The most beautiful place on Earth……..
North: Maddalena, Caprera, Razzoli, Budelli, S.Maria, Spargi, Lavezzi, Cavallo, Isola Piana to Bonifacio.
South: Villasimius, Kia, S. Antioco, Isola Piana (another one), S. Pietro.
Or maybe Corsica….

saint-tropez-french-coast

St. Tropez or cote d’azur are better with a motorbike…. don’t you think so?

I would suggest you this Italian destinantions: Gallipoli, Otranto, SantaMaria di Leuca (finis Terrae), Polignano a Mare, Trani, Isole Tremiti. All this are wonderful places and there you have all: very good sailing conditions (quite safe sea) wonderful sea, food, wine, and nightlife but at the same time wounderful art pieces, history, old buildings … I raccomend, if you never been there, Puglia and Salento (the name of the Region).
I usually spend my summer aruond there…sailing.
