Hotel is very welcoming and service was very good. Nice place to go have a late afternoon drink (great cocktails) to talk and admire the view. Strongly suggest to book rooms on top floors are very noisy. The lower floors have the constant noise of the street below and people taking out the bins on Saturday!!! Easy walk down to the spanish steps (10 min)and center.. the walk up is more tiresome.
Discreet and Elegant, no show offs.
So amazing hotel with an excellent service …especially when you discover it the 1rst time … you will try and will not forget it ever and ever …
The restaurant is excellent with a magnificent view of Rome, the food and service matches with the view

Perhaps the first impression on the mind of the visitor to Rome is the kaleidoscopic effect of colour in its streets, ever varying, never clashing, but blending into one harmonious whole. The eye is attracted by the bright blooms on flower-stall for whatever the season may be it always seems to he summer in Rome.
”I fiorai di piazza” or Flower Sellers are a tradition of Rome to which the Romans tenaciously cling in spite of the repeated threat that the increasingly congested traffic demands their removal.
They are, however, secure in their position, supported as they are by general sympathy.
Neither the Roman nor the tourist will let them go. There fore the Flower girl can go on smiling. Much of the picturesqueness of her costume has vanished, yielding to the dictates of modern fashion: and her heelless shoes, red stockings, her black corset and many coloured apron, as well as the red corals hanging from her ears have given place to high heels, short skirts, and silk stockings.

Comments and Advice from Our Guests:
1) After all the great comments here, the experience was well below expectations…
2) Cool place and people! But they still do not know how to do a Mochito or a capi!!!
3) 4/10 - tiny and with only two sofas in the whole place. Good music, decent looking people. The best place in Rome, mostly because the nightlife in Rome is quite sad. In a word, cute.
4) Cute, but too small and warm in my opinion
5) Decent, small but with taste
6) Very cool.
7) Best place in Rome, Salotto 42: one of the best location (Piazza di Pietra) in front of the rest of Adriano’s Theater. A very pleasant atmosphere in the heart of Rome.. Excellent

It may be the best oppulent hotel in Rome , It reminds me “La dolce Vita” time . 5 Stars 100%
Absolutly beautiful hotel, loved the lobby and our room (with my walk in wardrobe and make-up table :-) Service was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful.
Simply the best in town, especially if you like luxury ‘in your face’.
Lovely, old-world, oppulent hotel. Only lacks(severely) in location. Tough to walk anywhere from this hotel. Wonderful lobby and rooms.
Best in town…..

Comments and Reviews:
Was here for a week. Nice room – large, with a french window / balcony type thing, free wine on arrival. Better for business in my view than pleasure.
This time rooms were very clean and the service was a lot improved! Perfect for relax and for location.
Great place, old-time Dolce Vita atmosphere! The renovated bar Doney’s is one of the best places in town for a drink.
After renovation really very good….
Best suite in town: La cupola
I lived here for 4 months. Big hotel, but good service, special rates, cozy bar to have a drink at before going to dinner. Great spa and work out space. Excellent location.
