Birthday weekend in Milano? Why not!

I am 3 days in Milano and live in the NHow Hotel, going to la Scala (Opera) on Friday and to last supper (Saturday). Can you give me some Restaurant tips, I am looking for a typical Italian Restaurant with normal prizes, and I hate touristic places. Maybe something with music and fun?

Comments and Advices from our Guests

1) If you want to eat well and have a lot of fun go to Jazz Cafè in Corso Sempione 8, close to the restaurant is full of trendy bars to finish the night. Or Giacomo, really good italian restaurant (fish) or Giacomo Bistro, around the corner of Giacomo (less expensive with good food in Via Sottocorno.

Other hot areas are: Corso Como e Corso Garibaldi.
Aperitivo at Radetzky Cafe in Corso Garibaldi.

2) Yes Corso Sempione has buddah bar and and many other bars/clubs…its one street with bars left and right and all of them are of good quality. Also in that area there is a tipical italian restaurant next to Hotel Johnny, just outside. The owner is coming from Sicily, so the food is very amazing.

3) For me, the Jazz Cafe is really nice, if you like try brunch on Sunday at noon, there are lovely place like Diana Majestic Hotel in Corso Como 10 or Hotel Grand Visconti Palace they have lovely garden…

4) Just check the “Antica Trattoria Della Pesa” on Viale Pasubio: traditional food from the region and excellent atmosphere, very good price and informal looking.

5) I love Milano! A great, neighborhoody, non-touristy place for lunch is called La Ranarita – amazing pizza and pastas and a very elegant neighborhood. It’s on Via Fatebenefratelli. I am still dreaming about my last meal there! If you want a great place for dinner go to Bagutta on Via Montenapoleone, 6. There you have a lot of Hotels choice: The Westin Hotel, Le Meridien Hotel, the Carlton Baglioni Hotel and some block down the Hotel Exedra.

6) Nobody of them have the design of the Hotel NHow. This one is unique! Try to remember that you are not too much distance from the Navigli district, it’s a very interesting area to have aperitivo before or after the dinner. A lots of person almost every night.

7) Hi, I suggest you: Osteria Vecchia Lira, Zero Due Milano, very nice also for brekfast or lunch, and Taverna Visconti. For good wine and happy hour with tipical Italian People: N’Ombra de Vin in Via San Marco 2.

8) I would also recommend ”Le Scimmie” in Via Ascanio Sforza 49 (Navigli district close to the NHow Hotel) food is great plus you can also enjoy, the pure sounds of Jazz, I would advise you, to check out the schedule first.

Happy Birthday and enjoy your stay!
